Botox®

Botox® is a minor cosmetic procedure that temporarily inhibits muscle contraction under the skin, thereby giving the skin a smoother appearance in the treated areas while reducing or eliminating wrinkles. The results start to become noticeable within five days, with full results within two weeks of the injection, and will typically last 3-4 months.


Botox® is the industry's most well-known, studied, and monitored neuromodulator treatment. It was the brand that put neuromodulators on the map. Botox® can be used for a variety of other things above and beyond the commonly known applications.


No special preparations are required for a Botox® injection; as it is relatively painless, anesthesia is usually unnecessary. Alexandra tailors Botox ® placement and dosing to the individual client after discussing areas of concern and goals to ensure the best possible results.


Appointment Guidelines

  1. Please try to come to your appointment with a clean, dry face.
  2. If you have make-up or other products on, this is ok. We will wipe off the areas before prepping the skin.
  3. We will discuss the areas of concern for aging, how Botox can help, and establish realistic goals and expectations.
  4. The skin will be cleaned and prepped with alcohol swabs, and the areas will be marked for injection. We will take time to discuss these areas, including appropriate dosing and how it works with the anatomy of the facial muscles. We will also discuss the final amount of Botox planned for use and what this equates to for the cost amount.
  5. We will then begin injecting. There is minimal pain with Botox injections. Some areas can be a bit more sensitive.
  6. Once injecting is completed, we will clean the skin again.
